How Gambling Works

Before playing, you should get to know how the product you chose works. It will help you make an informed decision to place a bet. As betting requires you to stake your money, it is important to understand the rules and risks behind the games and bets.

Sports

While betting on sports, you try and predict the outcome of an event, such as a football match, motor race, or even a political election. To win a bet you need to predict a result correctly, however, you should always keep in mind there’s no such thing as a certain result and any outcome is possible.. The odds of the event are set by the company and are linked to the likelihood of the result you want to bet on. The odds we offer can be presented either decimal (eg. 3.00 or 2.41), fractional (eg. 2/1 or 6/4), or American (eg. +200 or +150). While they are displayed differently, they describe the same probability. For example, 1.50, -200 and 1⁄2 are the same and the payout for a bet of $5 would be $7.50 ($5 of your stake returned and $2.50 of winnings). The shorter the odds, the more likely the result and the lower the winnings you might receive.

Some more examples:

  • -  $1 at 4.75, 15/4,or (+375) would return $4.75 in total if you won.

  • -  $1 at 2.00, (1/1), or (+100) would return $2 in total if you won ($1 stake and $1 winnings).

  • -  $1 at 11.76, (15/2), or (+750) would return $11 in total if you won. That is your $1 stake and

    your winnings of $10.

Slots

Slot games are online games of chance based on a Random Number Generator (RNG) An RNG is computer software that generates sequences of numbers or symbols that can’t be predicted. Instead of betting on the middle line as in the traditional slot games, you can bet on multiple ones. You simply choose a stake and press play, there’s no skill involved. As the outcome is based on an RNG, you cannot predict or affect the outcome.

Some slots offer additional features, such as wilds or scatters. You can check the details of the game, such as these features in each game under the help button.

Casino games

There are many types of games offered in the casino, such as roulette, blackjack, or Texas hold'em. Each of these games are games of chance and you can read more about the game's rules under the help button when you enter the game or a room.
